Although many of our activities take place in London, we realise that our members live throughout the UK! With this in mind, Amicus tries to arrange regional events whenever possible - ranging from talks by interns and discussions with experts to film screenings, social events and fundraising events. These events are organised by groups of Amicus members, former interns and other volunteers.

Regional Groups now exist in Birmingham, Manchester and Oxford, with further groups being developed in Leeds, Newcastle and Bristol. If you wish to hear about events in those areas, please email us specifying the regional mailing list you wish to be added to. Alternatively, if you wish to set up a regional group in your area, please contact Amicus to discuss how you might go about this.

Students: We now have Amicus contacts at many universities across the country. Please email us for further details, or to discuss becoming a contact at your university. Amicus contacts help to arrange and promote events within their university and regional activities in their area.

The charity is designed to assist in the provision of legal representation for those awaiting capital trial and punishment in the US.
