| Amicus: assisting lawyers for justice on death row |
|
In addition to getting involved without our work, you can also support Amicus by becoming a member or making a donation. Membership There are many willing candidates in the US and UK who want to take on this work, but lack of resources - on the part of attorneys to take on more paid staff, and for the students and junior lawyers to fund their placements - means that their commitment and dedication may be wasted. Amicus needs funds in order to provide the training, organisation, backup and support that is required in order to effectively assist the lawyers on the ground in the USA. By becoming a member of Amicus, you can help us to do that. Members are kept up to date with the work of Amicus, receive the Amicus Journal several times a year, and are invited to lectures, events and training programmes when they occur. Membership currently costs £10 a year for students or the unwaged (who receive an electronic journal), £30 for ordinary members and £40/$60/60 Euros for overseas members. Please click here (MS Word, 101Kb) to fill in the form today. Donations 1) Complete and return our donation form, available by clicking here (MS Word, 90Kb) 2) Visit www.givenow.org and donate to Amicus through this Charities Aid Foundation site (Give to Amicus, charity registration number 1019651, direct link here) 3) Visit www.allaboutgiving.org to find out how you can set up regular donations or even donate directly from your payslip through Give as You Earn Corporate Donors
