Lime 2012 - 1 November 2012

Lime is a major event in the Amicus calendar.  The 2012 ball will celebrate our 20th anniversary and also help us raise vital funds to continue our work assisting people facing the death penalty in the US.

The venue for 2012 is the gorgeous Landmark hotel in Marylebone.

The evening starts with a champagne reception in the Winter Garden Gazebo.  This is followed by dinner and dancing in the Ballroom.  We also have a raffle, auction and gift tree.  Our key speakers include Sister Helen Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking, former death row inmates and front line capital defence lawyers.

Our brochure provides more information about the event as well as ticket prices and details of the sponsorship and support opportunities available.

News Update

We can now confirm that Ray Krone will be joining us at Lime.  Ray was exonerated in 2002 after serving ten years for a crime that DNA later proved he did not commit.  Read Ray's story here.

About Lime

The first Lime ball in 2004 transformed Amicus.  The funding greatly enhanced our capacity, resulting in a significant increase in the number of interns we place in the US.  We now send 20 to 30 each year.  The second Lime ball in 2007 provided funding for a new member of staff to manage our casework activities.  We have now more than trebled the number of cases we work on each year.

With your help, Lime 2012 will enable us to achieve even more.  There are thousands of people whose lives depend on good legal representation - a ticket for Lime will help us reach them.
